Spiderman was at our house yesterday

Yesterday we had a fall festival for all of the missionary kids in the area. All of the parents took on the responsibility of producing a fun activity for the kids, like little carnival booths. Jesse and I did bobbing for water balloons, and the children loved it. Other parents did a ring toss, and orange throw, flour sac races, a cup cake walk, and an obstacle coarse. All of the children loved it. Joshua was very excited because the lady who was doing the face painting said she could paint a spiderman mask. Joshua turned into spiderman for a day and loved it. When we walked outside their gate to leave we saw some Togolese kids that were passing by. They started shouting and laughing since they had never seen spiderman up close before! It was a great response. When we arrived home one of our friends looked at him, and in broken English said "Spiderman". Yvette, my friend, looked at him and said "you should keep your face like this always; this is who you are, 'SPIDERMAN'". Joshua loved being Spiderman for a day.
It is so wonderful to have friends hear in Africa. We are blessed, and I am blessed to have Spiderman in my home.
