News about our container

April 30th
I am currently in Lome with Jesse and Joshua, we have been here since Tuesday, it is now Thursday it has been almost a week since our container has been in port. We have run into a few complications. We were told yesterday that we might have our container by Tues of next week,
well that is not going to happen.
We received some bad news yesterday (Wed), and it was going to make our faith stretch a lot. The freighter company that was used made it look like everything in our container belonged to them, and when it arrived it was changed to our name saying that the container belonged to us. Now the port in Togo is confused because of all of the changes, and they are very suspicious of what is going on. They want to look at everything in our container. We were going to be talking to a government official Thurs morning to try and get them to just let it go. We as a family have been praying and asking the Lord to take control and help us to accept every thing and to give us wisdom in our decision making and our actions, also that we will continue to praise and thank God for everything that is done, we know that He is in complete control.
As we are getting ready to go see the government official we received a phone call saying they do not want to meet with us, and that the container is going to be opened, and we are not going to be able to talk our way out of it. I must admit I did not have the response I should have, I sat down and cried, it was a hard fact to swallow, we have been working so hard to try and get this container to Togo, and now to hit a wall like this, was to much. Jesse and I prayed and thanked God for what He is doing, and asked Him for strength for the future with the container. It has been a very long road, but we know that God has a plan.

We have been praying for you and the container. Our hearts are broken to hear the news. God is in control always. Thanks for blogging it's a great way for us to keep up and now that I figured out how to use it, I can write back. We miss you and Spencer says Hi to Joshua. We are heading out on our firt missions trip to Nicaruaga with the church and hopefully to Peru in a couple more years. Take care and stay cool.
